Install Injector

For initial installation only, tap the injector into the root well of the tree. Try to keep it 2 to 5 inches from the base so it is centrally located in the root well.

Remove Injector Cap. Toss it into the reservoir to avoid losing it.

Attach Reservoir by lining up the mating holes and pressing down.

Important Note: Be careful to line up mating parts. Misalignment can displace the grommet.

Fill Reservoir with water using a hose or any other source. If you are capturing rainwater, this is a great place to use it.

Optional: Additives

If you are using soil amendments, soil penetration enhancers, or fertilizers, simply add the proper quantities to the water at this point.

Optional: Remove Reservoir

The reservoirs are easy to remove if desired, but for quicker watering week after week, leave the reservoirs attached.

Optional: Replace Cap

If you are removing the reservoirs, be sure to replace the cap to keep clogging debris from entering the injector.

Use the reservoir to transport water to remote locations

If you need to water trees that are out of reach of your garden hose, we have a solution. Simply plug the hole with our standard Reservoir Plug, fill the reservoir, and move it to the tree. The plug is designed to "pop out" as you attach the reservoir to the injector, and watering begins instantly. You might also consider the optional Reservoir Lid we offer, so water doesn't splash out of the top during transport.
